Version 10.05

Release Notes For Version 10.05

Customer Specific Price Report

This new report has been added to the 'Price List Reports' menu. The report shows all customers and parts where specific override prices have been setup.

Customer Contacts

It is now possible to generate Word or RTF documents pre-filled with the selected customer contact's details. Multiple templates can be set up for different letter types.

Quote Letter Descriptions

It is now possible to enter an alternative part description on a quote which will be printed out on the quote letter.

Sales Order Descriptions

The 'alternative description' which can be entered on a sales order item line can now be up to 60 characters in length.

Stage Payment Orders

The option to define an order as a 'stage payment' order has been removed. Instead, it is now possible to define that any individual call-off on a detailed order uses stage payments - allowing both type of record on the same sales order.

New functionality has also been added to allow the stages to be generated automatically, with various options for the generation of stage dates, stage descriptions and stage values.

Sales Order Charges

The 'Freight Charge' on sales orders has been replaced by 'Sales Order Charges'.  This now allows multiple charges to be applied to a sales order.  These charges are then added to the invoice charges section when the invoice is produced.

The 'SO_HEAD' SQL view has also been updated to consider this change;  the field 'Freight_Charge' has been replaced with 'Total_Charges' and will contain the sum of all the sales order charges.

Allocation Of 'On Hold' Sales Orders

A new control flag ('ALLOC_STOCK_PICK_HOLD_CUST') has been added to allow stock to be allocated to 'on hold' sales orders.  If set, the system will allow stock to be allocated, but will ONLY allow a picklist to be raised.  It will still not be possible to confirm the picklist until the 'on hold' status is removed.

Picklist Maintenance

This screen now shows both the 'Ordered By' and 'Deliver To' customer codes.

Nominal Codes

Additional options have been added to the nominal code override rules.

Copy & Replace Of Phantom Parts

Phantom Parts have now been included in the 'Copy & Replace' process.  Phantom parts can also be used to replace stocked parts and vice versa (with some restrictions).

Standard Cost On Phantom Parts

It is now possible to store a standard cost against Phantom parts. When calculating standard costs the system will now calculate the cost of phantoms in the same way as manufactured parts and then use those costs in the parent part. This option is NOT available if using 'Features and Options'.

Stocktake

The time taken to generate the snapshot for stocked part stocktakes has been improved considerably.

Assembly Maintenance and Standard Costs

A new option has been added to Assembly Maintenance to allow the total standard cost for the components being shown to be calculated and shown at the bottom of the screen. N.B. This is NOT the standard cost of the assembly part as it does not include any cost of hours or sub-contract work.

Preactor Scheduling

Various 'configuration' options have been added to allow FactoryMaster to store the details of the Preactor installation being used. They also allow the database and configuration files for Preactor to be created without using the Preactor 'package installer'. It is recommended that the database and configuration are created this way as FactoryMaster will then also setup the SQL login permissions required for the Preactor database, and enter the details of those logins into the Preactor Configuration files.

Currently the Preactor reports must be separately installed using the Preactor package installer supplied by FactoryMaster; it is planned that this will also be handled by FactoryMaster in future releases.

The Preactor interface in FactoryMaster now caters for specified resources to be scheduled at 'resource group' level within Preactor.

MRP

The 'Cleardown Contract Purchase Orders' option on the MRP now only affects orders with a type of 'BI' or 'RM'.

F.A.I.R. Maintenance

It is now possible to specify that a F.A.I.R. expires a specified period after it was raised, rather than after the part was last made.
