Version 9.49 March 2007
User Defined Menu OptionsIt is now possible for the 'System Administrator' to add calls to external programs, reports and files to the FactoryMaster menu structure. Options can be added to any main menu or sub-menu which supports 'Favourites'. An item can be added by pressing 'F4' on the relevant menu. The users who will have access to the program can be controlled by selecting an appropriate 'user access' item.
A new option has been added to the 'System Maintenance / System Settings' menu to bring together the setting of the various titles for the 'User Defined Fields' (as used in places such as 'Stocked Parts' and 'Resource Maintenance'). These were previously set in the 'Control File'.
The SQL View 'VIEW_SO_CALL' has had the 'Promised Date' removed as the field is redundant.
An option to copy an entire quote has been added to Quotation Maintenance.
The control flag 'QUOTE_SO_COMMENTS' has been added to enable the copying of 'Quote Comments' to the sales order when creating an order from a quote. The default setting of this flag is 'Yes' to maintain compatibility with previous versions of FactoryMaster.
A minimum order value has been added to the supplier record to enable users to control how purchases are handled.
The control flag 'PO_MIN_VAL_ACTION' sets the action required when the minimum order value is not met.
The control flag 'PO_ORD_ACK_SHOW_SUP_PART_NO' has been added to allow 'Supplier's Own' part numbers to be printed instead of the 'internal' part numbers on the 'Purchase Order Acknowledgement' document.
A button has been added to the 'Purchase Order Release Note' screen to add ALL relevant materials to the release note.
The system can also be made to carry this out automatically on creation of the release note by setting the control flag 'AUTO_POP_PO_REL_DET' to 'Yes'.
A change has been made to this screen to make it more obvious if a receipt or reject is being matched at a price other than the one it was ordered at. There are now two buttons shown against each item - 'Match' (to confirm the 'purchase order' price) and 'Change' (to enter and confirm a different value). Note that if an item is unmatched, then the value shown will revert to the 'purchase order' price.
The weekly totals now work correctly even when there is no capacity on a Saturday.
The 'Highlight' option on the planning board now works correctly.
A 'My Preferences' option has been added to the MRP routine. This allows each user to store their preferred settings for new MRP runs.
The 'Assembly Formulae' options have been extended to 'Manufacturing Instructions' to allow set & operation times to be generated by an expression.
