Version 9.46 December 2006

Scheduled Programs

Some users have experienced increased computer resource usage during the idle time of the scheduled programs. In order to reduce this, a new control flag ('REM_CLOCK_SCHED_PROG') has been added to suppress the screen refreshes required to update the clock shown on the screen.

Allocate Stock To Call-Offs

The 'Allocate Stock To Call-Offs' screen has been updated to highlight any batches of stock that were created on works orders which are directly associated with the sales order call-off being allocated.

Purchase Order Release Note

The limitation of 15 item lines on the purchase order release note has been removed.

Sub-Works Orders

FactoryMaster would previously only allow a works order to have up to 99 sub-works orders. This limit has now been removed. Once all suffixes of the parent number have been used, the system will allocate the next available 'whole' works order to add to the family.

In addition to this, a new control flag ('SUB_WO_DECIMALS') has been added to control the number of decimal places to which sub-works order numbers are allocated. This can be set to:

  • 'Two' - the default - sub-works orders will run from .01 to .99 (in increments of 0.01) before starting the next available 'whole' number
  • 'One' - sub-works orders will run from .10 to .90 (in increments of 0.10) before starting the next available 'whole' number
  • 'Zero' - a new 'whole' number will be used for each sub-works order
Project Costing

A new option has been added to the 'Analysis' tab which allows a number of distinct works orders to be grouped together into 'projects'. Zooming on a project code will then summarise the costs of all the works orders included in that project. Many job costing reports can now be ranged by 'project code', with more reporting options being added in future releases.
