Version 9.40 June 2006
Import Manager
The 'Assembly Details' import now retains any leading zeroes included in the 'sequence number'. These were previously being filtered out.
Spindle Integration
'Customer Code' / 'Supplier Code' and 'Customer Name' / 'Supplier Name' have been added to the list of available spindle tags (where appropriate).
Sales Order Entry
A new option has been added to allow a 'simple' sales order to be raised by entering the quantity of each part required into an 'order form' based on the selected customer's price list.
The 'call-off' screen (for 'detailed' sales orders) now indicates if there are any purchase orders specifically associated with the call-off. If so, the user can click on a button to view the associated purchase orders.
Sales Order Import
A new option has been added to the sales order imports to automatically confirm any call-off changes which are after a specified date. This option allows users reviewing the imported orders to ignore those call-off changes for which no work is yet being done, and concentrate on those which will have more effect on production.
The way that call-offs linked to works orders are processed has been changed in this version. Call-offs previously remained linked to the same works order which meant that, if the requirement date was changed significantly, the works order could be linked to a call-off a long way off in the future. This is no longer the case. Works orders are now detached from their call-off before the call-offs are moved. Once the call-off movements have been processed the works orders are re-linked to the same sales orders item, but to the earliest pending call-offs for that item.
Sales Order Book Reports
The various types of 'Sales Order Book Reports' have been combined into one option on the 'Sales Order Reports Menu'. The sort order can now be chosen on the main report selection screen.
A new report has also been added to this menu. The 'Sales Order Call-Off Movements Report' allows users to produce a report of all 'movements' which have occurred in the order book between two specified dates.
Sales Invoice History
The QuickBar on the 'Sales Invoice History' has been updated with the introduction of a 'Sales Order Number' search.
Purchase Order Advice Note History
The 'Purchase Order Advice Note History' screen has been re-designed to include QuickBar functionality.
Serial Number Label Print
A new facility to print labels for serial numbered parts has been added to the 'Stock Reports Menu'.
Issued Stock Report
The 'Issued Stock Report' now contains an option to include the 'serial numbers' of issued components.
Scheduling
A new 'finite' scheduling option has been added to force each operation in the schedule to use ONE block of time. This means that if there are lots of small blocks of time available in the schedule but these blocks are not big enough for the operation to fit into, then the operation will be moved to a date/time when there IS a single block with enough time to spare.
This option can be set on a resource-by-resource basis (toggleable column with the travel time) and can only be set if the resource uses a 'finite' schedule. It the option is not set then the operation will be split into smaller blocks to use up the small pieces of available time.
Tooling & Gauging User Access
Two new user access codes have been added to allow users to further control access within Tooling & Gauging.
The access code 'Issue / Return Tools' has been added to determine if a user has the ability to issue & return tools. The access code 'Calibrate Tools' has been added to determine if users have the ability to issue a tool for calibration.
Tooling & Gauging Issued Tools Report
The 'Issued Tools Report' has been updated to allow users to range on either the employee or inspector the tool was issued to.
Cost Of Sales
The control flag WIP_CALC_METHOD specifies how the costs on this report are calculated. When set to '1' it uses the same methods as in all previous versions. When set to '2' it uses a new method which is bespoke to a particular customer of FactoryMaster. This control flag is used to ensure that any job where parts have been sold but the job is still in WIP is calculated in the same way as on the 'WIP Report'.
Time Recording
The 'data capture' screen now clearly indicates if the user is using the 'play' system.
