Version 9.36 February 2006

  • Export Manager
A new option has been added to the 'System Maintenance / Data Manager' menu which enables key system data to be exported to CSV or XML files from a common interface. The user has the option to select which data fields are exported, and to define the order in which they appear. Additional exports will be added to this facility in future releases.

  • Spindle Integration
FactoryMaster has been updated to allow the integration of a 3rd party 'print management' tool called 'Spindle'.
The following FactoryMaster document layouts have been updated to support Spindle integration:

    - Delivery Notes
    - Purchase Order Expedite Report
    - Sales Invoice
    - Sales Order Acknowledgement
    - Purchase Orders
    - Quote Letter
    - Release Notes

The Spindle integration tags can be managed from the 'System Maintenance / Document Layouts' menu.

  • Quotation Maintenance
The document attachment functionality is now available from within a quote.

  • Sales Pricelists
It is now possible for the sales prices for a particular customer to be drawn from more than one pricelist. A default list is defined for the customer (a previously) but a (different) override list can be defined for each product group. For example, customer 'CUST1' has pricelist 'LIST3' defined as its default and will draw most of its prices from that list. However, any parts in product 'G1' will draw their price from pricelist 'LIST5', whilst parts in product group 'G3' will use the prices defined in pricelist 'LIST7'.

Some of the buttons on the pricelist screens have been re-arranged to accommodate this change, and the method for entering override discounts and specific prices has been simplified.

  • Sales Delivery Performance
The sales delivery performance options have been updated to allow the user to specify the number of days late a delivery can be for it still to be considered 'On Time'.

  • Supplier Maintenance
The system no longer allows the user to press F5 on a blank supplier code (this resulted in the system hanging).

  • Supplier Price Maintenance
The screen has been amended to allow the user to 'mouse-click' into the 'prices' sub-table when adding a new supplier line. The user previously was forced to use the keyboard to 'tab' into this sub-table.

  • Stocked Parts Screen
Hot-keying to 'Assembly Maintenance', 'Works Order Enquiry', 'Sales Release Maintenance' or the 'Drawing Register' from this screen will now 'pre-fill' the QuickBar on the called screen with the relevant part or drawing number.

  • Shelf Life & Expiry Dates
It is now possible to enter the 'expiry date' of a batch of stock when receiving stocked parts. A default 'shelf life' (in days) can be defined against each part which will be used to default the expiry date when booking-in. Please note that in the current release this date if FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY - the system will NOT prevent expired stock from being issued, kitted or sold.

  • Stock Valuation
Changes made to the 'actual batch cost' of bought-in parts in the 'Stock Valuation' screen will now update job costing (where the batch has been issued to a works order).
It is no longer possible to alter the costs of batches created on a works order through this screen. Any changes must be made by entering/removing costs against the works order in job costing.

To avoid confusion, the 'Stock Valuation By Standard Cost Report' has been merged into the main 'Stock Valuation Report'.

  • Update Standard Costs
The 'Calculate Standard Costs' facility has been updated to allow users to select 'MA' parts by the 'Last Updated' date.

  • Stocktake Reports
Some of the stocktake reports have been updated to allow the 'frozen' stock quantity to be hidden and to show a variance quantity.
All stocktake reports have been updated to include an export facility.

  • Location Maintenance
Location Maintenance has been updated to allow users to create new locations directly off the QuickBar.

  • Manufacturing Maintenance
This screen has been corrected to include routes for 'phantom' parts.

  • Scheduling
When rescheduling a works order any complete operations now have their dates cleared in the 'Works Order Detail' screen.

  • Internal Quality Menu
The Internal Rejects menu has been renamed 'Internal Quality Menu' and now contains both the ECN Maintenance and the bespoke NDT options.

  • WIP Costs Report
It is now possible to value the WIP quantity by standard cost rather than the usual pro-rata of the costs booked to date.

  • Time Bookings by Employee
The 'Time Bookings By Employee Report' has been updated with an export facility.
