Version 10.16
Customer Maintenance
The structure of the 'customer' records have been significantly altered throughout FactoryMaster. These changes have implications in many areas of the system.
Previously, if you had a customer with multiple delivery locations, you would have had to set up each delivery location as a separate customer record. Likewise, you would have had to set up a separate customer record if your customer wanted their invoices sent to a different address.
The new structure allows multiple addresses to be set up under a single single customer account code, removing this need to artificially bloat the number of customers shown in the customer maintenance screen. Obviously, if the customer only has the one address then only one address needs to be defined.
As a result of this change, many parts of the system will show both an ACCOUNT CODE and an ADDRESS CODE to identify the customer. Screens requiring the ENTRY of a customer code will also now ask for the ACCOUNT CODE and ADDRESS CODE, although the address code will always be defaulted according to the code selected in customer maintenance
