Hints & Tips

Quote RTF layouts

*Please note - Take a copy of the layout you are going to edit before you make any changes - The RTF format can have dramatic affects when being changed*

It is possible to create your own quote templates in the RTF format:

  • Quotation Maintenance
  • Quote Letter
  • Tag list
    • Make a note of the various tags you can use to pull the information you require through
  • Open Template Folder
  • Copy and save the layout under a new name

Once you have your new template, you can edit the layout however you want. However, RTF's are notoriously known for being troublesome and we would advise that after each change you make (especially with using the tags) you re-run the quote template with an already generated quote in your system.

(before you test the quote, unclick save a copy and press 'no' when it asks if you would like to update the 'Date Submitted' of this quote to 'today')

Once the quote has been tested and you are happy with the result, you can start using it straight away.
