New Data Capture Products
We now offer a variety of different data capture units:
Quality Management System Module
In 2011, FactoryMaster will begin the journey to IS0 9001 accreditation, and alongside
this, we are hoping to bring a new module to the FactoryMaster suite to help manage
and maintain quality systems for various industries, primarily focusing on the ISO
9001 standard.
To ensure this module offers the best value for money, FactoryMaster is looking
to enlist the help of its customers to assist in the design process of this module.
This is a unique opportunity for companies that have or are working towards an accredited
Quality Management System to have some real input into how the project unfolds and
what features and benefits are embedded into the module.
We are looking for a number of companies to join the initiative, which will kick
off with an introduction day, where we would like a Quality Manager and a FactoryMaster
super user from each selected customer to join us and see what we have planned so
far. This would be a good opportunity to openly discuss the benefits, design shortfalls
and potential issues as well as helping us piece together the differences between
the various Quality Standards.
If you would like to be considered and would be able to give us a day of your time
later this month or early December, please contact
support@factorymaster.co.uk to register your interest with the following
details: Company Name, Contact Details, Quality Manager and Super user you would
like to put forward for the initiative.
We will be looking to give a discount on the module to everyone who participates
as well as giving away a free copy to one lucky participant - *we may also throw
in a few licenses and training days!

Target Customer Profile (TCP)
Target Customer Profile is part of the CRM Module. To activate this you need to
switch on a 'Control Flag' - go to system maintenance, system settings, control
file - flag required 'TCP_DETAILS' on the 'Sales Order' category within the system
control file - this flag should be set to 'Yes' to use this functionality. *Please
note that access to this area of the system is restricted via individual 'User Access'.
You will then need to set up the various profile criteria. To do this, go to 'System
Maintenance', 'System Settings'. 'Sales System Settings' - Select TCP Maintenance.
You can then enter the detail in the 'Field Name' and then define whether you want
to apply a 'TCP Score' based on the element added
There are 3 options to choose from in the 'Field Type'
- Note - This enables the user to enter a note or memo against the 'Field Name' rather
than apply a score or not.
- Choice - No Score- This enables you to define a profile
category without applying a score - for example 'Contact Frequency' or 'Discount
Structure'
- Choice - Including Score - This option enables you to apply a profile
score against a category - this might define a score based on your preference of
dealing with a particular type of industry sector.
